Solicitor

Soomy is a Solicitor in the Litigation and Disputes team at Smith and Partners, with experience across general practice and civil litigation. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Health Sciences and brings a broad perspective to his work from both his legal experience and earlier time with Health New Zealand.

Soomy takes a practical and considered approach to dispute resolution, taking the time to understand the wider context and what matters most to his clients. He focuses on providing tailored advice and identifying effective, sensible solutions, particularly when matters are complex or high stakes.

Outside of work, Soomy is a long-time squash player and enjoys reading, film, and spending time with friends and family.
