Carmen has worked in the legal profession her whole working career, having left school to work as a legal receptionist in Auckland City before going on to graduate with the New Zealand Law Society Legal Executive Certificate in 1995.

In 2003 she joined the team at Smith and Partners in 2003, where she works closely with partners Peter Smith and Wade Hansen on residential and commercial property matters including the sale and purchase of commercial property, commercial leases, residential conveyancing, refinancing and subdivisions.

Carmen’s clients appreciate her ability to make the law easy to understand. Quick and efficient, Carmen combines over 20 years of knowledge and experience in property law with her friendly and approachable manner, making each property transaction smooth and stress free for clients.

Carmen is Vice President of the National Council of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives, and President of the Auckland Branch. 

Outside of work Carmen enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, travelling when she gets the chance, and watching the V8 Supercars.
