Smith and Partners is a well-established mid-size general practice firm with a large litigation and dispute resolution team. Due to continued growth, we are seeking to employ another litigation solicitor. 

The role:
This is a varied and stimulating role, giving you exposure across a wide range of civil litigation matters encompassing liquidation, insolvency and debt collection, commercial disputes, construction and property disputes. 

You will be working within a highly collaborative litigation team, working to solve people’s problems by providing practical advice to complex legal situations. 

You will be able to work autonomously, providing high level advice, supervising juniors and helping to develop our highly successful practice. With excellent support and high quality mentoring in litigation strategy, we are looking for someone who wants to grow and develop within our expanding team. 

As a successful applicant you will have:

• 5+ Years New Zealand experience PQE in dispute resolution

• A current New Zealand practicing certificate (or the ability to attain one)

• A demonstrable commitment to client service

• A common sense pragmatic approach to providing legal solutions

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills
